Tuscan Style Grilled Tuna Steaks

INGREDIENTS:

2 fresh tuna steaks, 8-10 oz each, 1" thick
1 lemon, zested
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
flat leaf parsley (small handful)
1 large garlic clove, crushed
Sea salt & black pepper
Extra-virgin olive oil (for grilling)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Rinse and pat tuna steaks dry. Place zest on top of cutting board. Pile Rosemary, parsley, garlic and some salt and pepper on top of herbs. Finely chop the garlic, herbs, and spices.
  2. Lightly drizzle olive oil over tuna steaks enough to coat each side. Rub herb and garlic mixture onto fish, coating evenly on both sides. Allow to stand 10 minutes.
  3. Grill tuna steaks 3-4 minutes on each side (or until desired doneness reached).  Remove from grill and serve immediately.
*feel free to improvise with herbs and marinating times. I prefer at least 30-min marinating for fish as the flavor is so much more delightful. Enjoy! (Recipe adapted from Food Network)
